We have all said to ourselves, “If I knew then what I know now…”. You now have the opportunity to share your unique wisdom with someone who needs to hear it.

Your help can make a difference!
Why you?

All kids, regardless of their background, need to develop certain assets to become confident, self-reliant adults. You have the opportunity to reinforce the importance of time management, personal responsibility, work habits and having a positive outlook to help guide a teen’s future.

Why mentoring?
Why golf?

This golf mentoring program is just one part of a summer-long YMCA Teens in Action program. Youth ages 12-15 participate in a variety of activities throughout the summer, including community service projects, leadership development sessions and more.

Golf provides the mentors an opportunity to teach the teens about more than just the sport, but about life! It provides opportunities to talk about things such as etiquette, interpersonal communication, responsibility, respect and independence.

What is the program commitment?
1. Mentors Matter Summer “Tee-off” on June 15th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
2. Attending two of the following sessions, including lunch and golf.
3. Participate in the Celebration and Golf tournament on Thursday, August 5th from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar!!!
